'Nelson in a Day' takes you on a drive past historic precincts and view points overlooking the
city and Tasman Bay, through the rich fruit and wine producing areas of the Waimea Plains, the
Upper Moutere and the historic German village of Sarau to the incredible Riwaka Resurgence.
After refreshments, stroll through superb Podocarp forest to the natural drain hole of Marble
Mountain.
Move on to Marahau, the entrance to Abel Tasman National Park before walking down to the
picturesque Split Apple Rock beach where you will enjoy a Kiwi gourmet picnic lunch on the
sheltered golden sand before starting the return journey.
Visit the stunning Kaiteriteri beach before a stop-off at the historic granite wharf at Motueka
& view the rusting hulk of the Janie Seddon.
Drive around the estuaries rich in bird-life and then explore the coastal village of Mapua.
